The Vancouver Post Alliance has recently become a Community Partner of the The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television’s Women In Post program.
This nationally run program provides higher-level industry access and professional development for emerging to mid-level women-identifying and non-binary creatives working in all areas of post production.
The 2023/24 cohort has just been announced and we are thrilled to share that four of the twelve participants are from British Columbia this year. The VPA could not be more proud of their accomplishments. Keep an eye out for these talented post production freelancers at our future events and please take a moment to introduce yourselves to them!
- KJ Edwards (she/they) – Picture Editing / Sound
- Eimear MacCarrick (she/her) – Music
- Kaitlyn Redcrow (she/her) – Sound
- Evelyn Starks (she/her) – Picture Editing / Animation / VFX

The VPA believes that when supporting initiatives like the Women in Post program, we are investing actively in the growth and diversity of our post production industry. With this partnership, we look forward to being part of the effort to reach gender parity and ensure greater representation in our industry!
