We’re joined by industry veterans Sandra Portman (Sound Supervisor), Kelly Cole (Re-recording Mixer), Bill Mellow (Re-recording Mixer), Gregorio Gomez (SFX Editor), James Fonnyadt (Sound Designer), Eric Mouawad (Dialogue Editor) and Maureen Murphy (Foley Artist).

Between them, they have over 1000 credits in film and television work, 31 wins and close to 100 nominations for various awards. The sound team from Snowpiercer Season 1 was recently nominated for a M.P.S.E. Golden Reel award in both the dialogue/ADR and SFX/Foley categories.

During this lively talk, they’ll be breaking down various scenes and discussing the challenges they faced creating this huge science fiction soundtrack.

Neill Blomkamp’s latest horror film Demonic.
We’ll be sitting down with industry veteran VPA members Vince Renaud and Jo Rossi. Between them they have over 50 years experience and share over 280 credits, including previous Blomkamp films such as District 9, Elysium and Chappie.

We break down key scenes in the film and dig into some of the techniques and workflows they used on the project. Jo and Vince are always pushing the boundaries of what is possible with creating story driven soundtracks so don’t miss your chance to learn from two masters of their craft.
